SUPER LATE UPDATE!

I actually consider myself a LOSER in this happy days challenge. It's all beacause of my laziness and sickness within the previous days. However, let me share some special events that happened from April 17 until present.

APRIL 17 | DAY 54
It's Holy Thursday and most of the malls were closed. Thanks to WalterMart, we had the chance to hang out somewhere else aside from our sweet little room.

Though Glen isn't feeling good due to hang over, he still joined us. I asked my Aunt to come with me, as well as his youngest child. We just bought speakers for the two guys, shoes for myself, and ice cream for everyone!

APRIL 18 | DAY 55
Glen's birthday!

It is so awkward to celebrate his birthday since it's Good Friday. We planned to visit his brothers at Marikina, but we weren't able to do so since he's not feeling well. Blame all those headaches to the bottle of liquor that they drank last Wednesday! Arghh!

So, we just stayed at home, waited for a nice movie to watch, ate, and then slept. Good thing he felt better after all the rest that he had. :)

APRIL 19 | DAY 56
Glen's brothers we're calling us that morning. They were asking if we'll still visit them. After preparing ourselves, we endured a long and hot travel from ParaƱaque to Marikina! :)

I met his older brother and his wife for the first time. If only you could feel the tension that I was feeling that time. I was literally hyperventilating!

Side note: His brothers married pretty ladies. I wonder why he has to choose me. I'm not as pretty as they are. :)

APRIL 20 | DAY 57
SLEEPING DAY!

We woke up at 11am due to the water that flowed to our bedding. We were informed that the child from the neighborhood played with the mineral water and accidentally poured all of them at the floor.

After lunch, Glen and his older brother, Aries, watched a movie. Me? I fell asleep. Haha! I am so sleepy since I didn't enjoy much sleep that night. Totally disturb by all the drunk people. Hmp!

APRIL 21 | DAY 58
Back to work!

Though I still feel weak and restless, I have to go to work. I feel like my bed is calling for me and wants me to stay with it. Haha! If only I can take another absent. But na-ah. I have to GO TO WORK.

I watched Diary ng Panget tonight. Hehe! It's not a grand movie, but it justified the novel. Honestly, I watched the movie 'cause of my beloved James Reid! :)

APRIL 22 | DAY 59
Nothing significant. I started auditing tonight. I am so lazy to start with the work, but I pusehd myself to start working.

I updated my new WordPress account this time. I wanted to work on the Blogging Challenge, but it seems like I don't have enough inspirations to continue working on it. Well, whatever. Haha!

APRIL 23 | DAY 60
Suspension extension!

I was given another five days suspension for browsing unrelated sites during work house. The funny thing is, we're all caught when we have nothing to do. We're still waiting for the next cycle to be launched. Haha! Crazy, isn't it? Others doesn't even know that we're doing, and yet he feels like he knows everything. Oh, come on!

On the other hand, I signed a new contract with this company as a Link Placement Senior Writer. Sounds like a promotion, right? Well, I am personally disappointed with this and I don't think if I'll be staying much longer in this position. I have 8 days to hunt for another job, right? Haha!

APRIL 24 | DAY 61
A moment with drummer boy.

Well, it is an awkward moment with him. Haha! I won't humiliate myself even more through this post. And I think I never wish another awkward moment with him. Never again.

APRIL 25 | DAY 62
Anime's resignation.

I was informed of this sad, sad news about Anime's resignation. I am really sad to know that he's not coming back anymore. I feel sad to even think that I will never see him again.

On the other hand, I am so happy for him. He's now free from all the pressures and tension that was given to all the members of his team. If I'm not mistaken, he's one of the youngest members of their team. He shouldn't ruin his teenage life working on a job that can't compensate according to their given workload.

Adios Anime.

APRIL 26 | DAY 63
AJ's birthday!

It's our third month as a couple, as well. We didn't have any grand celebration this day, but we planned to have our "date" next week. If and only if he can extend his stay until the weekend.

Me and the Maldita's also had our pizza party at Joey Pepperoni. We got lots of disappointment, but I guess the bonding makes it all worth it. Though, I am really sorry for being the last to come. >.<

I also bought two good books today: Why Do We Have to Live with Men and Born in Fire.

APRIL 27 | DAY 64
Sickness day!

We were awaken by a knock on our front door. It was my aunt, with Jihanna, and they wanted to spend some time in our room. We're so unprepared; imagine too much clutter in our room! Haha! Anyway, they just stayed for about 10-15 minutes, and they went back to their room upstairs. :)

I rested for the whole day. Sleep and eat and drink medicine. That means Glen did the laundry, cooking, dish washing, and room cleaning.

APRIL 28 | DAY 65
It is the last glance..

I was so shocked to see Mr. Anime in our office tonight. I thought he was here to contradict the resignation announcement, but he was here to confirm that. He's not on his usual Monday attire, so I already knew he was leaving.

Anyway, I am thankful to know someone like him. A very cute guy who's a bit shy and a bit bubbly. I wasn't able to bond with him, as in never, but I love looking at him while he talks with his teammates.

Adios Anime. You will be missed. Forever.

(But not like the way I miss the original Anime. haha!)

On the other hand, my suspension dates are moved. I'll be rendering my suspension on June 2-6, which means I can have a week-long celebration of my birthday. This is the vacation that I badly need, and the chance to go find another darn job. Hehe! Fingers crossed. Hope everything will work out as planned. :)

So. here it is!

DAY 46

Wednesday is hump day! We're already in the middle of the week, and it feels like every thing slows down. As I type this post, I just watched two movies and almost halfway through my third one. Haha! I've just finished my task, and just waiting for the updates of the missing reports and comments.

April 9 is one of the most special dates in my life. Not only because it's a holiday, but because of one special person who used to be a part of my life. History is history, as they say, but this person will always be a part of me.

It took me four long years to realize that my affection for him remained the same whatever happened between us. He's such a nice man, and it's pretty hard to get over someone like him.

Thanks to my graduation party two years ago, I was able to know the real reason why he decided to stop the relationship. It was a non-sense reason, but I guess the main point is we're both too young to handle a complicated relationship that time.

It's nice to know that he's already happy with where he is right now. He still looks the same, but I knows he's a very different man right now.

People change, but memories don't. It depends on you if you want to use those memories to make you or break you. In my case, I allowed those memories to do both, and I'm so sure that I've learned a lot from it.

See? There's a rainbow after the rain. ;)

PS: I had some crazy reminiscence of the way I look before. See the difference? Huge difference it is, eh? :)

Stay Happy! :)

LONG WEEKEND and #100HappyDays Updates

It's been a looooong weekend for me. I've go one great stories for you guys, and I hope you'd spend some of your time in reading my updates.

Saturday

1. My brother's birthday
For a change, I asked my sister to buy a cake for my brother. He doesn't receive any special treatments on his birthday. I guess it's time for him to know that he's special for all of us. It's not a big party, but at least there's something to remind us that it's his birthday.

cake worth 495php. With lots and lots of candles. hahaha!

Sorry for the additional clutter. Haha! That's my brother while blowing his 14 candles. ♥

I don't really know what his initial reaction was, since they're still at the province. However, it's nice to know that he didn't hesitate in blowing his candles. He's now 14 years old! Time flies by so fast that we don't even notice that our little boy is slowly being a man now.

2. Visit to Marikina
It was a long and tiring travel. With the severe heat of the sun and the slow move of the not-so-cool aircon bus, we're trapped on the road for almost two hours. Spell torture? I didn't have the energy to visit the malls, as planned, since I slept already as soon as we arrived Kuya Aries' place.

Ate Arlyn bought some coffee cake. I was informed that it was Kuya Aries' advanced birthday celebration. Hehe! They also gave us spaghetti from Greenwich. (They're really spoiling me a bit, eh? They gave me two of my favorites!)

SUNDAY (#100HappyDays - DAY 36)

It was Jihanna's baptism day!

We picked up the cake at Joy San Gabriel's place around 10am. (That's the reason why were not able to attend the mass and the baptism ceremony itself.) We reach our place at 12noon already; just in time for the visitors to come home and eat.

Ms. Joy is so kind and accommodating. She even gave me 25php discount! I'll be featuring her and her cakes in a special review. I just need to get the photos from my bf's sister. ;)

Night time is fun time!

They're all drunk. Haha! It's fun to see them all tipsy; they're talking about anything and everything under the sun. We, the girls, talk about our girl stuff.. while the boys talk about their work, fraternity, and 300. Yes, that was the movie. Haha!

What I love in this drinking session is the white sparkling juice given by my cousin's friend. That's the best drinking finale that I've ever had. Haha! They saved the best drink for last round. :)

Kuya Jerome's friends made fun of the "relationship" thingy between Glen and me, and with Ronel and Julie. Glen and Julie are siblings, as in brothers and sisters. And Ronel and I are cousins. Haha! I don't really know what's bothering them. They seemed pretty amazed with the situation. :)

Drunk people never fail to show dramatic scenes, did they? I won't give you the details. But as I've known before, words from drunk people are actually the words that their hearts want to say. I guess I have to believe that.

MONDAY (#100HappyDays - Day 37)

REST DAY!

I still had the chance to savor the carrot cake from Ms. Joy, as well as their brownies. I decided to call it brownies, though I'm not really sure it's supposed to be called that way. Haha!

Due to hang-over and sleepy eyes, I decided not to come to work that night. I'm not sure I'd be able to reach Makati with my headache. Another salary deduction, but health is my priority. (Chos!)

TUESDAY (#100HappyDays - Day 38)

Picture taking!

While we're waiting for our brunch, I took this photo. He's watching TV, and he just knew I took a picture after I showed it to him. Sadly, I wasn't able to upload all my selfies. I didn't expect Julie will leave soon. :(

I just hope she'll be able to upload the photos as soon as possible. Wish me luck! :p

So.. that's all for today! :)

How are you? ;)

DAY 34

Wow! I already finished 1/3 of this challenge! I am actually amazed how I manage to share all the things that make me happy. Or should I say, how I managed to remember them, even the smallest things that completes my day.

Glen is back today! He was actually two days late from our agreed schedule, but that's OK. What matters most is that he's gonna stay with me again for quite some time.

My WordPress blog is back! (Obviously, it is!) The WP admins told me that it was suspended for "spam activities". After reviewing my page, they decided that the action was, indeed, an error on their part.

Day 16

awesome souvenir. ♥

Today could have been one of the best days in our lives. Our 4th year anniversary.

It's a story of treachery, pain, and sufferings.

So technically, it's  not a proper entry for Happy Days, right?

But let me take you to the other side of the story.

That relationship taught me how to be strong.

He taught me how to fight for my feelings. When to take heart and get what I want. Own what I was asked to own. Win the battle though it's kinda losing. And always believe in the power of love.

We're given the chance to pursue our love story, but it's too late.

When trust and communication is broken, your relationship will always be on the rocks.

It's better to remain your friend than be your wife and make you suffer until eternity.

Thanks for everything, my dear Potsi.

Thanks for the jersey. ♥

It's NOT For Everyone..

I’ve just read this article “7 Realities of Hooking Up That We Need to Get Over and Accept Already". Last evening, I’ve read another article entitled, “The Pros and Cons of A Friends with Benefits Relationships". If you continue browsing those sites, and ask Google about it, you can find lots of articles that talk about the same topic. Hook Up Culture.

I am so intrigued by the articles that I stumbled upon. No commitments. No strings attached. Just making out. Just sex. (Reminds me of somebody, eh? LOL!)

This lead me to searching topics about HOOK UP CULTURE. I found a video posted from Franklin & Marshall College. I know the study is done in the American schools, but the facts might be true in our country too. If you’re planning to listen to the video, please take note of the statistics stated by the speaker. It can help you in your adversaries. Haha!

I’ve been thinking about these casual relationships for the past years due to my obsession about 500 Days of Summer. Remember the story of Summer and Tom? If you’ve watched the movie, you’ll know that Summer don’t want the commitment. They don’t have a “label” on their relationship. But they’re going out and making out from time to time.

Honestly, I find it hard to talk about sex. First reason is I grew up to a family who don’t talk about it liberally. We shouldn’t talk about it ’cause they think we might try it. LOL! (That’s what I’ve been believing for years now.) Second, I grew up religiously serving the church, and these topics are kinda disgusting for me. However, I opened my mind to facts about hooking up, sex, and casual relationships. I’ve been reading some sort of articles about it, and I have to say that it’s not for everyone.

According to my researches, hook up relationships can be helpful to gain experience without risking your emotional commitment to anyone. You won’t get tired of the drama of boyfriend-girlfriend relationships. You have the chance to discover and experiment your knowledge about sex when you have a f*cking buddy. Others believe that it’s good to engage in a casual sex ’cause they’ll learn more about these hook ups. It gave them the courage to give into their desire and check their boundaries.

A bad relationship can also make someone crazy. (It happened to me, yah know.) Some guys are getting so possessive and some girls are getting insane on the pain of breaking up. Hooking up is the culture that dominated the campus ’cause students can focus on their studies without thinking about the distraction of broken hearts and jealousy.

For professionals, it can be their escape from their stressful work. Having a boyfriend can be a hassle, especially when you don’t have enough time to meet him due to your various responsibilities. You can focus on your work, and cal someone once you felt the urge and desire to get laid.

If you knew me personally, you’ll know the change of perspective that I had for the past few years. I had the change of lifestyle, and I admit I had a hook up relationship too. I find it very challenging and sort of entertaining. The rush. The excitement. 20s will always want the adventure that I had faced before. What made me engage in this? The benefit of flirting with my high school crush. The influence of getting tipsy. The curiosity of THAT feeling.

If you’re someone who’s like me – one who get attached to someone so easily -  don’t ever get a f*cking buddy unless he/she wants a serious commitment with you. You’ll definitely be screwed up, not only physically but also emotionally.

You might say you can manage this relationship. You can pursue one after reading my post and the links attached here. I don’t have the right to stop you, but I just hope you consider your conscience. Check out the pros and cons, and make sure you won’t be devastated about it.

Remember, hooking up isn’t just sex. Kissing, just kissing, is also considered.

I’ve been there, and I expected too much from him. I just don’t want any other lady to be devastated just because of someone who used you for one time.

If you’re like me who suffers from the regret of getting a hook up partner, forgive yourself. It isn’t just YOUR fault. For whatever forced you to do that, it’s all part of the past. Really interesting conversations can be started when you’re open to these kinds of relationships. You can talk with me.

Have I said so many things now? haha!

For the man I liked but never considered calling me back, I thank you.

It’s a nice experience, you know. I just don’t know if I would like to do it again.

Disrupting the hook up culture is up to you.

IT IS UP TO US.

We can stop it when we want.
